Pneumonia was 1.8% compared to surgical site infections, which stood at 1.5%. The UTIs were 1.2%. Moreover, in intensive care units (ICUs), the number of patients who had acquired infections was 30.6%. Therefore, due to the high risk of acquiring healthcare-associated infections, that too, in intensive care units call for intensive disinfection and sanitization methods to minimize this risk and provide proper infection control solutions, which is anticipated to increase the demand over the forecast period and lead to market growth.
